Andrew Thomas was born in Washington, D.C. and first practiced insurance defense law in Fairfax, Virginia before joining the firm in 1996. He has been a general partner since 1999, focusing his practice on serious personal injury cases, wrongful death cases, litigation, and jury trials.

Andrew exclusively represents individuals against insurance companies and other corporate entities.  He has litigated hundreds of injury cases throughout his career, both in Virginia state and federal courts.  

He's received the highest rating - AV Preeminent- from Martindale-Hubbell, using a national rating system based on the opinions of Virginia judges and attorneys.  He has been named as one of the Lawdragon 3000  “Leading Plaintiff’s Lawyers in America.”  Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers have been so named.

He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a national legal association with membership limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.  Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.

Andrew is known for taking a diligent, aggressive, yet cordial approach to his practice.  He believes there is no "ordinary" case, and makes every effort to meet the unique challenges of his  clients.
