Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Fauquier Caused By Drunk Driving

A fatal Virginia drunken driving crash occurred on the evening of July 31st on VA 28.

Phar Chom Taengsat, 43, of Catlett, was driving a Lincoln Town Car near the Fauquier-Prince William County line when his car was hit head-on by a northbound traveling Isuzu Rodeo.

Taengsat suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries at 12:15 a.m. on the morning of August 2nd.

There were also three other passengers in the Town Car with Taengsat. They were all transported to a Fauquier hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The driver of the Rodeo, 33-year-old Migule Angel Vulazquez-Vite of Culpeper, was uninjured in the crash. He was charged with drunken driving and driving without a license. It is not yet known if he will face additional charges.
