Investigators say ballistics tests
positively match shell casings found near the scene of six highway shootings in Virginia and casings found inside a vehicle owned by a man charged with the shootings.
The analysis was conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the results were announced Saturday by Virginia State Police.
The ATF lab also matched the casings to a Ruger .22-caliber
magnum rifle that was recovered by investigators Friday on the property of Yonder Hill Farm in Crozet.
