A nice day on the course ended very badly when a distracted golfer accidentally ran over another player who was walking down the fairway.  The cart was battery operated and virtually silent, and our client had no way of knowing what was coming.  The cart driver was distracted by his cell phone.  Injuries included serious knee, hip, and arm fractures requiring several surgeries.  This serious case shows that distracted driving isn't limited to the highway.
