In this case, a tractor trailer driver tried to make a U-turn across Route 29 in Fauquier County.  It was night, and the truck completely blocked all southbound lanes.  The trailer lacked correct safety features (reflective tape or lights), making it extremely hard to see for oncoming motorists.  Although our client was able to see the truck and tried to swerve, she was unable to avoid impact because the truck completely blocked the highway.  The insurance company first denied the claim, and then settled just before the jury trial.
