On November 18, 2014, partner Carl Lauer attended the first formal meeting of the 382nd chapter of the American Inns of Court. The American Inns of Court is a legal society dedicated to improving and promoting the goals of legal excellence, civility, professionalism, and ethics throughout the legal community. The membership of the 382nd chapter is comprised of senior Virginia workers compensation attorneys with 15 or more years of active practice in the field of workers compensation. The chapter is specifically focused on promoting the goals of the Inn in the field of workers compensation. The members of the Inn were addressed at the meeting by the Hon. Donald W. Lemons, Chief Justice elect of the Virginia Supreme Court, who spoke on the history, traditions, and purposes of the American Inns of Court.
