Carl Lauer attends the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association's Seventh Annual Advanced Workers Compensation Retreat

On the weekend of November 7-8, 2014, partner Carl Lauer attended the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association's Seventh Annual Advanced Workers Compensation Retreat held in Richmond, Virginia. This conference included most of the top claimants' workers compensation attorneys in Virginia. Guest speakers included the Hon. Roger Williams and the Hon. Wesley G. Marshall, Commissioners of the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission, who discussed case law updates, as well as the Hon. Gregory D. Habeeb, Virginia delegate from the eighth District, who gave a legislative update. Other topic areas discussed included mediation practices, brain injuries in workers compensation cases, and Medicare set-aside agreements.
